Never use this worsr dog groomers in area made another appointment and cancelled it wven though they said dont have to pay until 7 days before do not honour any commitments treat customers poorly avlid at all costs just had a response saying she was polite haha she wa not never spoke to a more rude person in my life if they say a week before should not matter what has closed or who u have ringing technically we have a booking until we font oay on the date of 7 days before please avoid who ever answered the phonee so rude and arrogant what a way to turm customers off like i say avoid at all costs. E very surprised if they care about animals at all the way they have acted

Always an excellent service at Pawsome Paws, they do an absolutely beautiful job with our toy poodle. Very fair priced, lovely staff. The seasonal photos taken are my absolute favourite and the complimentary bandanas or bow ties!! Highly recommended, I would go anywhere else now!

iPET Network Level 3 Certificate in Dog Grooming and Introduction to Styling - 15 days: £3150

This NEW qualification is delivered over 15 days in our academy with practical and theoretical elements (with additional theory work to be completed at home). During the course you will groom a minimum of 10 dogs covering 6 different breeds but often many more.  There are no pre-requisites to starting the course, meaning you can join at level 3 without having completed a lower level (level 2) course first.

No previous experience is required! Once you have gained this qualification, you can continue your studies and move onto the iPET Network Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management and gain your ‘Fully Qualified Dog Groomer’ status.

On this course, you will be trained in practical skills such as prepping, bathing, scissoring, clipping and nail trimming. 

Units included within this qualification are:

301: Health and Safety in a Dog Grooming Environment 

302: Promote the Welfare of Dogs conforming with Relevant Legislation

304: Assess and Plan Dog Grooming Styles and Maintenance of Equipment

305: Health Checking, Handling and Canine Behaviour

317: Prepare, Style and Finish a Selection of Dog Breeds

You will be continually assessed via practical demonstration and coursework meaning you don’t have to sit a daunting exam in order to achieve the qualification. This holistic approach has been welcomed by novice dog groomers around the globe. iPET Network Level 3 Award in An Introduction to Dog Grooming - 5 days: £1250

It is perfect for students who have little knowledge of dogs but who are interested in a career in dog grooming. It is also an ideal course for dog owners who wish to learn how to correctly groom a specific breed in a variety of styles.  

During the course you will groom a minimum of 5 dogs covering 3 different breeds.  There are no pre-requisites to starting the course, meaning you can join at level 3 without having completed a lower level (level 2) course first.

Dog Grooming Taster Day

This taster day gives you an insight to see how a busy salon works and to help you decide if you want career in dog grooming. Our friendly team will make you welcome and be available to answer any of your questions during the day. The taster day is aimed at assisting you in deciding as to whether dog grooming is the right career for you before proceeding with longer courses such as the Level 3 Dog Grooming Diploma.

Course Price: One day £180 (non-refundable deposit £50, NB as an added bonus we will deduct the cost of the Taster Day off the price of the 25-day course if you enrol within one month of the taster day).

One Day Pet Grooming Course

Learn the basics in how to groom your own pet on a full day course. This one-day course has been specifically created for those wanting to groom their own dog at home. You can bring your dog to us for the day and learn how to create one specific style you like and gain the skills you need to work on your own dog’s coat type.

Fast Track Qualification (OCN) – Experienced Groomers Only

Fast-track options for experienced groomers seeking qualification.

We know many experienced groomers would like to be able to say they are also qualified and have their skill validated. However, exams can be daunting, and the cost can escalate if you need practice to prepare for them. That is why we offer a fast-track solution to qualification, assessed through coursework and ongoing demonstration providing a great opportunity for experienced groomers to achieve level 3 qualification status without the need for first completing a level 2 qualification. This route is also ideal for students who hold the City and Guilds Intro Certificate but who have not yet reached the City and Guilds Level 3 Diploma. Both diplomas have the same value on the national framework but are simply awarded by different organisations.

There are two fast track options:

Option 1) Complete the qualification at your premises with your own dogs.

£1500 per registration

Option 2) Complete the qualification at Pawsome Paws Training Centre with our dog models.

£1250 per registration

*additional expenses for travel / accommodation may be charged based on location of but will be negotiated before you commit.

Foundation in Dog Grooming (10 days)

This course is a leap up from the introduction course offering further practical and hands on skill practice. Packed into 10 days you will touch on every aspect of dog grooming and is the perfect course length to fit around your current employment or lifestyle. In this course you will gain knowledge of the most popular dog breeds seen in a grooming salon. This course is an ideal start for students who want to become self-employed as a dog groomer or those who wish to gain immediate employment in a grooming salon. This course level will appeal to potential employers in any job application and enable you to display an array of skills. This course may also appeal to students who have experience in grooming but wish to refresh their skills on suitable dog models in a grooming salon environment.

Professional Dog Grooming Level 3 Diploma (OCN)- 25 days

The Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming Qualification Awarded by Open College Network West Midlands is a recognised Level 3 (A level) Qualification approved by Ofqual.

You do not need any prior experience to start this course or to have completed a Level 2 first. Unlike other qualifications of the same stature, there are no pre-requisites to starting the course, meaning you can join at level 3 without having completed a lower-level course first. There is also no final examination at the end which most students find daunting on other courses available.

Over the period of 25 days, you will groom a minimum of 10 different breeds in a minimum of 15 different styles. This exceeds other courses available and we believe gives our students a solid foundation on which to continue developing their skills and career.

The qualification will demonstrate to an employer and/or the general public should you wish to become self employed , that you have the necessary technical skills and knowledge to successfully groom a variety of dogs. This is a formal, regulated, nationally recognised qualification that will remain relevant throughout your career.

It has been designed specifically for those looking to become professional dog groomers or those who already groom dogs (as a hobby or career) but do not currently hold a nationally recognised qualification. For experienced groomers, we can offer a fast-track plan to gaining the qualification by skill demonstration.

COURSE CONTENTS:

As with all of our grooming courses at Pawsome Paws Training Academy you will be trained in practical skills such as bathing, scissoring, clipping, nail trimming and ear plucking.
